Welcome to Europe!!!. On arrival at the airport we shall be waiting to transfer you to the hotel. You can enjoy free time until your tour starts, information about the meeting place and start time can be found on the information boards in the hotel reception area.
IMPORTANT - IF YOU REQUESTED ADDITIONAL NIGHTS on arrival at the hotel you will have your booking made but the guide of your trip will normally not arrive until the start of the included activities. YOUR TIME BEFORE THIS MOMENT IS THEREFORE FREE. At your hotel they can help you with all the information you need.
NB: The schedules you will find in this itinerary are approximate. The guide, depending on the situation and in order to improve the development of the circuit, may adjust the schedules.

07:30hrs - Berlin –Departure-.
10.00 hrs - Dresden –Arrival-. This city is the pearl of the river Elbe, the former residence of the kings of Saxony. The immense palace by the river Elbe reminds us of the city’s glorious historic past. Time to stroll.
12.00hrs - Dresden –Departure-. We go off towards the south of Germany. Stop in a service area for lunch. -
16:15hrs - Bamberg –Arrival-. A beautiful city full of life, don’t miss a stroll in “the Little Venice”. Its picturesque canals and its monumental heritage make this city one of the most beautiful in Germany. Time to stroll.
17:30 hrs - Bamberg –Departure-
18:30 hrs - Nuremberg -Arrival. The second most important city in Bavaria with its castle, its walls, its ancient university and its reminders of the Second World War and the Nazi period. This city was completely destroyed in the Second World War but has risen from its ashes. Time to stroll in its busy centre.
07:30 hrs - Nuremberg -departure. Today’s stage will bring us great surprises.
09:15hrs - Kelheim – Arrival in this city on the banks of the Danube. We embark (scheduled time 9:50 AM) to take a forty minute cruise through the Danube Valley , in the area known as the “Danube gorges”. We come to KLOSTER WELTENBURG , a very beautiful Benedictine monastery founded in 1040. Time to visit.
11:30hrs- Kloster Weltenburg –Departure-. Along narrow roads, we go on our way to
12:30hrs - LANSHUT one of the prettiest villages in Germany, where we have time to stroll and for lunch.
14:15 hrs - Landshut –Departure-.
15:15 hrs - Dachau –Arrival-. Concentration camp and museum. In this impressive place, we will remember the difficult time of Nazism. Time to see the complex.
16:15 hrs - Dachau –Departure-.
16:30 hrs - Munich –Arrival. We visit the impressive BMW WELT (BMW world) complex , a very modern facility with multifunctional exhibitions of the BMW group, the prestigious German car manufacturers. We will also see the park where the architecturally beautiful Olympiastadium stands, and where the famous Olympic Games of 1972 were held. After this, free time in the historic centre to enjoy the typical beer houses.
(N B: At the time of the Beer Festival, the hotel may be in the vicinity of Munich).
07:30hrs - Munich –Departure-.
09:30hrs - Fussen –Arrival-. In this city of Bavaria, nestled in the mountains, we come to the castle of Neuschwanstein . With our guide, we will walk to Queen Mary’s Bridge to enjoy the fantastic scenery between the gorges. You can walk back to the bus or take a horse and carriage (not included).
11:30hrs - Fussen .Departure-. We travel to the Rhine Valley. Stop in the service area on the motorway for lunch.
15:15 hrs - Rotenberg –Arrival-. For many, this is the prettiest village in Germany. It is located on the Romantic Route. Its walls, its marvellous, perfectly preserved mediaeval quarter. We include tickets to the Christmas Museum. Time to stroll.
16:45hrs- Rotenberg –Departure-.
19:15 hrs - Frankfurt –Arrival-. Before settling in our hotel, our guide will leave you for a while next to the Romer Platz, in the city centre. Free time.
Countryside: Very pretty scenery following the Rhine and Moselle valleys. Very beautiful villages are scattered along the way.
08.00 hrs - Frankfurt -departure. Today we will see the Rhine and the Moselle valleys. Two rivers charged with history and sprinkled with charming villages.
09.00 hrs - Rudesheim am Rhein. - We reach the Rhine at this picturesque mediaeval village full of tourist and commercial life. After some time to stroll, we board a boat to take a CRUISE ALONG THE RHINE of around two hours. We find ourselves in the prettiest sector of the river: fortresses, mediaeval villages, ancient churches, vineyards on the hillsides. Arrival at ST. GOAR and continuation along small roads travelling towards the Moselle Valley.
12:15hrs - Cochem - Arrival- We are now in one of the prettiest villages of the valley. Time for lunch and to take a stroll.
14:15 hrs.- Cochem –Departure-
15.00hrs - Burg Eltz – Arrival- After the small hermitage, a path through the forest will take us to a fantastic castle that seems as if it were taken from a fairy tale.
16:45hrs - Burg Eltz –Departure-.
18:30 hrs - Cologne -Arrival. Time for a stroll in the busy streets of the centre and to see its grandiose cathedral.
19:30 hrs - Cologne. Departure for our hotel in Dusseldorf.
20:30 hrs - Dusseldorf. Arrival. We are in the centre of Germany’s most industrial region.
NB: when fairs or congresses are under way, accommodation may be provided in Cologne or in a nearby city.
08.00hrs - Departure for the centre of Dusseldorf were we will have time to stroll in this city on the banks of the Rhine, where you will be surprised not only by a pretty historic quarter, but also by its avant-garde architecture in which many of the best architects in the world have been represented.
10.00 hrs - Dusseldorf- Departure
11.00 hrs - Zollverein. Arrival at one of the most important points of the “European route of industrial heritage”; we visit its coal mine industrial complex , now declared World Heritage.
13.00 hrs - Zollverein. Departure
15:45hrs - Hamlin -Arrival. We are in a typical city made popular by the story of the flautist… we will enjoy the city remembering the tale written by the Bros Grimm and following in the footsteps of the mice. Time to stroll.
17:30 hrs - Hamlin -departure.
18.30 hrs - Hanover -Arrival. A stroll in the centre before going to our hotel.
NB : When fairs or congresses are under way, accommodation may be provided in a nearby city.
NB: We go into Denmark, a country where you will need Danish kroner.
Transfer to the centre and time for a stroll in the centre of Hanover, a very busy city.
08:30 hrs - Hanover –Departure-. We travel towards the north of Germany.
10:45 hrs - Hamburg – Arrival in this city which stands between the lake and its busy port on the River Elbe (full of restaurants). Our guide will take us around the port and give us information about the city. Hamburg is one of the most active and representative cities of Germany. Time to have a stroll and for lunch.
13:30hrs - Hamburg -departure.
15:45 hrs - Flensburg. - A small picturesque city by the sea with its pretty sports marina. Time for a stroll.
16:45 hrs - Flensburg –Departure-. We go into Denmark.
19.00 hrs - Aarhus. - The second most important city in Denmark, a stroll through its busy pedestrian centre is recommended.
Scenery: Attractive woodlands and mountains in Norway; first view of fjords.
Notes: The times of the ferries between Denmark and Norway often vary and so the times during this part of the circuit will depend on those changes. We recommend you wear warm clothing for the boat crossing. In Norway, the currency is the Norwegian Krone. We suggest your change your currency on the ferry.
08:00 h - Aarhus –Departure-. We set out for the northern part of Denmark, amidst attractive scenery.
10:30 h - Hirsthals. We take a tour of this city and port before embarking on the modern ferry to cross the North Sea to Norway-. Normally our boat sails at 12.15 h. The crossing takes about three hours. We advise you to change your currency on the boat and have lunch.
15:30 h. - Kristiansand – We land and then continue our journey-.
17:00 h. - Flekkefjord – A town on a fjord, with wooden houses and tiny restaurants. Time to explore.
17:45 h. - Flekkfjord –Departure-. The scenery is even more attractive.
19:45 h. - Stavanger –Arrival-. Free time to explore this beautiful lively city next to the sea.
Scenery: Beautiful fjord and sea landscapes. Many bridges that will make you feel you are travelling between the “sea and the land”. Deep tunnels. Two sections travelling by boat.
Notes: Wear warm clothing during the boat crossings. There may sometimes be queues to board the boats, and we may arrive at Bergen later than planned.
07:30 h. - Stavanger –On leaving the city, we will stop at the " Swords in Rock" monument, where we will remember the Vikings before continuing on along the coast and soon come to Mortavika where we take a boat and cross Skunden fjord , which takes just over half an hour
Arrival at Aarsvagen where we continue to travel through amazing scenery dominated by the sea. We then pass through the deepest tunnel in the world, below the sea.
At approximately 11.30 h. we arrive at Sandvikvag where we make a boat crossing lasting 45 minutes surrounded by spectacular fjords.
13:30 h. Bergen – Arrival-. We ascend on the funicular railway to Mount Flouyen (price of trip included) where there are fantastic views of the city and its fjords. Then visitors have a free afternoon in Bergen, to enjoy its lively atmosphere.
Scenery: Spectacular scenery. Impressive views of mountains and fjords and landscapes permanently covered in snow.
Note: H ave warm clothes at hand to enjoy the snow and the short stretch by ferry between the fjords. The schedules of the cruise can be modified; according to that the schedule of the rest of the day may also undergo changes.
07.45hr . - Bergen –Departure-. We set out amidst beautiful scenery and enter the fjords region.
09.45hrs- Waterfall of Tvindefoss. Short stop to admire this beautiful waterfall 100m of height also call Trollafossen or waterfall of the Trolls. Its waters have the reputation not only of rejuvenating but also of increasing the sexual potency.
10.15hrs- Departure to Sogner Fjord , the largest Norwegian fjord and often considered the most beautiful one. We continue our journey through impressive landscapes and come to Gudvangen.
10:30 h. – Gudvangen . We visit this tiny city and then take a boat cruise on the fiord (departure scheduled for 12.00 h.). The cruise lasts for just over 2 hours and takes us near impressive cliffs. We recommend having lunch on board.
At about 14.10 h . we land in Flam, and then continue our journey surrounded by woods, lakes, isolated mountains with peaks covered in snow all the year round and glaciers.
After passing through the 24.5km Aurland tunnel , considered one of the longest in the world and using innovative techniques to rest the eyes and avoid the monotony of the drivers, we will arrive to the Borgund wood church , possibly the best preserved Norwegian temple of the 13th century, where we will make a brief stop to admire and take a photo (entrance included).
19:30 h. - Oslo –Arrival-. Free time in this pleasant Norwegian city next to the fjord that ears its name and surrounded by mountains. We can visit its port, streets and the works of art of the Frognerparken.
Scenery: Impressive scenery, with mountains, forests and lakes.
Free time to stroll around Oslo before continuing our journey.
11:30 h. - Oslo- Departure. We travel to Sweden with its impressive lakes, dense forests.
13.00 hrs.- After the border crossing, we stopped at a service area for lunch.
17.00hrs- Orebro - Arrival to this Swedish town next to a beautiful lake with a castle and charming historic center. Time for stroll.
18.00 hrs.- Orebro. Departure.
20.30hrs.- Arrival in STOCKHOLM in the evening.
Free time. We advise taking a walk through the centre and seeing the museum island. In the afternoon, we offer visitors an optional visit to the Town Hall and the Royal Ship Vasa.
Scenery : Very beautiful landscapes from the boat leaving Stockholm.
Notes: Tonight we embark on a night cruise; Carry your documentation (will be required when boarding) and prepare hand luggage (luggage will remain in the coach). Do not forget warm clothing to enjoy on the deck of the boat. In Finland, the currency used is the euro, if you do not have Swedish Crowns, there are convinient exchange offices on the ship.
Free day in the most beautiful of the Scandinavian capitals. We recommend walking around the historic center and the island of museums.
17.00hrs.- Transfer to the port of Stockholm. We embark on the modern ferry of the Silja Lines company. Restaurants, bars, nightclub, casino, shops, ample rooms ... cruise conditions. Our ship leaves at 19.30 hrs (estimated time at the time of writing this itinerary).- The landscapes you can see at the exit of Stockholm are of great beauty (lots of islands). We recommend to enjoy on the deck. Do not forget your camera !. Night on board, double cabins.
Scenery: Forests, lakes. Pleasant landscapes.
Note: Upon arrival in Finland you will have to change your watch; When in Sweden it is 12 o´clock in Finland it is 13 o´clock.
We recommend you to go on the ship deck at dawn; The arrival in Finland is done by outlining the Aland archipelago. Hundreds of islands covered with forests. Breakfast is included in your trip.
07:30 hrs. - TURKU. Disembark in the second Finnish city with strong Swedish influence. A time for a walk in the center.
08:30 hrs. Turku, departure.
09:20hrs- NAANTALI, very picturesque village of wooden houses by the sea. Lots of tourist life. Time for a stroll.
10:45 hrs. - Naantali-Departure.
13:00 hrs. - HELSINKI. Time for lunch. Afternoon free, you will be able to know this city with, its old market, the Russian influence in its buildings and churches.
(Note: a boat trip to Suomenlina scheduled on Friday morning can be made at this time according to the routes of the participating passengers).
Note: Carry your documentation, it will be required when boarding.
Leaving the hotel about 09.00 hrs, this morning we include a boat trip (regular line water local transport) to Suomenlinna islands , six islands where we highlight a great fortress that used to protect the sea entry to the city and that has been declared World Heritage - Time to stroll around (we will be able to cross island through its small pedestrian bridges). Our guide will accompany you to the islands and will explain how to use your free time; With your return ticket, you will decide the time you wish to remain in this beautiful archipelago.
Later, we shall board a ferry to Estonia ; Ferry trip of around 2h30 duration which departure is expected around 15.30hrs; we suggest to admire the departure from Helsinki and the surrounding islands.
17.45 hrs. - Tallinn - Arrival, disembarkation and accommodation.
09.00hrs- We will participate in a comprehensive tour through the city streets, and admire its walls, churches, squares and mediaeval streets filled with tourist attractions.
Free afternoon.
Note: Schedules of this stage sometimes, depending on traffic, can suffer important delays because of the border procedures.
08.00hrs.- Tallin. Departure. Today we leave Estonia and travel to Russia .
11.00 hrs- NARVA .- Arrival to this city located on the border with Russia. Time for a coffee and to see the impressive fortress by the river, on the border between the two countries.
12.00hrs.- Narva. Departure to Russia. Border procedures (estimated in 2 hours of standby time).
Once in Russia, lunch included . We continue our route.
18.30hrs.- (17.30 in Estonia)- ST PETERSBURG. Arrival at the hotel.
09.00.- With a local guide we begin the panoramic visit of this beautiful city crossed by the Neva River and built on 40 islands. Saint Petersburg is the second most important city of Russia and capital of the Russian Empire. This imperial city reveals the history of the Russian tsars through its museums, palaces, and architectural wealth. The visit includes the Peter and Paul Fortress , origin of the city (entrance included) .
The former capital of Tsar Russia is surrounded by numerous impressive palaces, baroque or rococo, with magnificent fountains and gardens that today are World Heritage Site in what is called "St. Petersburg Historic Centre and annexed monumental ensembles". Today, due to access restrictions and depending on the availability of the palaces, we include an excursion (guided visit and entrance fees included) to one of them, Catherine in Pushkin or Peterhof in Peterhof, of similar characteristics. Return to St. Petersburg at the end of the afternoon. Free time.
After the visit, free afternoon or return to the hotel.
Russian plain, woodlands and lakes.
Note: At Valday Monastery visitors should wear formal attire; women must not wear trousers or shorts and their shoulders must be covered. Plan your attire before leaving. During this stage, there may be delays due to heavy traffic on some stretches.
08:00 h. – St. Petersburg –Departure-
11:00 h. - Novgorod –Arrival-. Guided tour and admission included. This is an exciting city which was one of the most important cultural and political centres in Russia. During the Middle Ages it was one of the most important cities in Eastern Europe. Its monuments have led it to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit the Kremlin, the old market quarter and Yaroslav’s court. Lunch included after the visit.
14:00 h . - Novgorod –Departure-
16:00 h. - Valday –Arrival in this pretty area with rivers and woodlands. Visit to an old monastery on the island in the lake.
17:00 h. - Valday –Departure-
20:00 h. - Tver –Arrival-. This city, on the banks of the VOLGA, was the centre of a small state which was Moscow’s main rival. We will make a brief visit to the city (on the same day or the next day, depending on the light). Then we will go to the hotel. Accommodation and supper are included.
We travel along tiny roads that allow us to see the rural areas of Russia, passing many pretty villages on our way.
08:30 h. - Tver –Departure-. On the way we will cross several lakes. Do you remember the music from the magical Swan Lake? We will go there and make a short stop at KLIN where Tchaikowsky’shouse is. Then we continue our route through the interior, to the Golden Ring.
12:30 h. - Sergiev Posad - Arrival-. In this city we will visit the Holy Trinity Monastery, considered the most important spiritural centre of Russia. After this exciting visit, we have lunch (included).
14:00 h. - Sergiev Posad –Departure-. We continue along tiny roads that pass through famous Golden Ring cities: ALEKSHANDROV (with its Kremlin of Ivan the Terrible) and YURYEV POLSKIY, a small provincial city with its historical Kremlin. Then we will make some short stops to take photos of these cities.
17.45 h. - SUZDAL . Arrival- We include admission to the Museum of Wooden Architecture which shows how peasants used to live, in their wooden huts and mills, and we will also visit the Church of the Transfiguration. We sill also learn how the famous “ Matryoshka ” nesting dolls are made and painted, and we will learn to paint them! (this activity can be done on Friday before leaving to Vladimir).
Supper included and accommodation.- During supper a folklore group will liven up the evening with their balalaikas (not included if there are fewer than 15 people in the group).
In the morning, at about 08.30 h. we visit SUZDAL, which many consider the most attractive of the Golden Ring cities. With its domes standing out against the horizon, it looks like a fairy tale city. Visit to the city, including a local guide and admission to the Kremlin and the cathedral. At St. Eugene’s Monastery we listen to a bells concert.
13.00 h. - Suzdal –Departure-
13.45 h. - Vladimir –Arrival-. Lunch included in a typical restaurant with traditional architecture located on the outskirts of the city. In this interesting Golden Ring city we will visit the majestic Cathedral of Our Lady of Assumption.
15.30 h. - Vladimir –Departure-. We then enter the huge capital of Russia.
18.45 h . - Moscow –Arrival-.
09:00 h . We start out on an exciting tour of the Russian capita l lasting approximately three and a half hours. This city has a past, present and future like no other. We will see its enormous avenues, elegant shopping districts, the Red Square and the Lenin Mausoleum, St. Basil’s Cathedral and the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour (open for worship, visitors wearing shorts are not allowed to enter). Visit to the Kremlin and to the two main cathedrals included . We will try to make our visit coincide with the military parade held in Sobornaya Square, but we cannot guarantee it. At the end of the visit, visitors can stay in the city centre or return to the hotel.
Free afternoon.-Our guide will offer you the following optional outings: visit to Moscow Metro, the "Kostroma" Folklore Shore or Moscow Circus.
09.00 hrs.- We will learn more about the history of Russia and its capital. We will pass by the university viewpoint , with its fantastic view over the city where newly married couples leave flowers (we could go to the viewpoint after Saturday’s visit instead of Sunday) and we will get to know ( including entry) the Great Patriotic War Museum (World War II) that also shows us many aspects of the Soviet period. Free afternoon.
